You are absolutely right. Rackspace’s Cloud Sites is an
awesome platform. I can host windows or Linux based applications simply and
reliably. It is nearly bullet proof. For my small business or non-profit
clients, the fact that the bills are low is great, but the true genius behind
the platform is that we can avoid the ‘failure by success’ syndrome. You know
the one, your website gets mentioned and a mob of eager customers flood into
your site, then your server falls over just when the most people are looking. It
just doesn’t happen with the cloud. Saved my butt many, many times. Thanks.

I would like to know from what angle you're looking to discuss about cloud. As a subscriber, provider or both. The two have varing issues i.e. the nigeria broadband still fall short of what is necessary to access an asset in the cloud. I accept we are experiencing granula improvement. There are other issues other than the obvious i.e. infrastructure electricity etc. As a provider, the calculation will be existing cloud issues plus those problems known to us (see above) then plus lack of privacy and data protection . It's interesting your blog about the cloud servers in another country, so i'm a cloud computing reader and all of its services and i've never thought about this in i think your're right, if somepne wants to hire a cloud provider for his company he needs to be sure that the servers should be on the same country with the same laws to avoid problems with foreign people.

I believe Google Cloud Print standard is a game changer. Its going to make printing much more accessible and documents more secure.

I think you'll see a revival of printing with access from Mobile phones. Might not be a positive "green" move though.
